Before Fashion in Flowers, there was fashion.
My journey began within the world of fashion, working as a buyer and being immersed in the creativity of some of the industry's most influential designers, from John Galliano and Jean Paul Gaultier to Yves St Laurent and Vivienne Westwood etc...
It was a world where every detail mattered - the silhouette, the proportion, the fabric, the colour, the attitude. Fashion taught me to look beyond what something is and to see what it could become.
And over time, I began to look at flowers through that same lens.
I found myself asking:
Why couldn't flowers be treated with the same creativity as fashion?
Why couldn't a floral arrangement have a silhouette?
A mood?
An attitude?
A point of view?
These questions became the beginning of Fashion in Flowers.
What started as an idea evolved into a new way of interpreting floristry - bringing together my experience in fashion with the artistry of flowers.
Today, each creation begins with inspiration drawn from fashion, but it doesn't end there. It is reinterpreted through flowers, colour, texture, form and craftsmanship to become something of its own.
This is my journey from fashion into flowers - and the beginning of something I believe has never quite been seen in floristry before.
